What does the Cuyahoga County nonprofit sector need to thrive post-COVID?
The Funders Collaborative on Covid Recovery (FCCR) has launched the COVID-19 Recovery and Nonprofit Resiliency Survey and is requesting your participation! As funders, we seek to better understand the needs, opportunities, and makeup of our grantee partners and the nonprofit sector and together will use the results to build resilience, advance equity, and best serve our community’s needs.
Prizes: To thank you for your time, organizations that complete the survey will be entered into a raffle to win one of 13 cash prizes between $1,000 and $5,000.
Who should respond? We are asking all nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organizations in Cuyahoga County to complete the survey.
Deadline: This survey is open through Feb. 18, 2022.

Guardians CLE encourage neighbors to get vaccinated
As COVID-19 continues to impact lives across our community, Guardians CLE, a grassroots group of local community leaders, are spreading the word to their family members, neighbors and others in their networks about the importance of getting vaccinated. Through a campaign featuring billboards, TV commercials and one-on-one conversations, Guardians CLE members are focused on building trust, especially in neighborhoods and communities with high vaccine hesitancy rates. Learn more about their work, which has been supported by the Funders Collaborative on COVID Recovery via: www.GuardiansCLE.org.

Banking on community
Community banks play a vital role organizing support efforts and distributing resources to people in need. Several community banks in the Greater Cleveland area focus on specific initiatives to ensure that all residents’ needs are met. Check out our blog here to meet organizations tackling food insecurity, supporting children and families, and creating a better community in Northeast Ohio.

Support vaccine uptake in Cuyahoga County
The Funders Collaborative on COVID Recovery (FCCR) is seeking proposals from nonprofit organizations aiming to catalyze vaccine uptake at a hyper-local level, with a special focus on neighborhoods where vaccine rates remain far below those of the surrounding area. Projects are to be based in one of three pre-determined regions in Cleveland: East, which includes East Cleveland; Central; and West. A map of these regions, along with potential key partners that have previously engaged with the FCCR on vaccination projects, can be found here.
Proposals will be accepted until 12 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022.

Launching a community-led nonprofit newsroom in Cleveland
In November, we announced our involvement in a coalition of Cleveland-based organizations and the American Journalism Project partnering to launch an independent, community-led, nonprofit newsroom serving Cleveland in 2022. So far, the coalition has raised more than $5.8 million for this effort, with a goal to dramatically increase the volume of original, in-depth, non-partisan reporting in the region and support the efforts of Cleveland news outlets and community initiatives to make critical information available for free and in multiple formats to all who need it. |
