Stardust: An Exploration of Black Futures is now on display in MidTown at the site of the Cleveland Foundation’s new headquarters on Euclid Avenue and E. 66th Street. Take a walk by Dunham Tavern to view this unique installation featuring photography by nationally celebrated photographer Mikael Owunna and local emerging poet Andrea Doe, curated by artist and activist Amanda King of Shooting Without Bullets. Celebrating Toni Morrison

In 2020, the Ohio legislature designated Feb. 18 as Toni Morrison Day to celebrate the life and legacy of the Lorain, Ohio-born author. The late author’s only short story, “Recitatif,” debuted in book form for the first time on Feb. 1, 2022. Read more about the work of the Nobel laureate and Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards winner here.

  • Cleveland Institute of Music ($200,000) – Two-year funding for the continuation of the Musical Pathways Fellowship
  • Cleveland Museum of Art ($133,140) – Continuation of curatorial Arts Mastery programming for teens
  • Cleveland Museum of Natural History ($400,000) – Next phase of the museum’s capital campaign that will help make science education more accessible
  • Lake Erie Ink ($20,000) – Supporting student creative writing through curriculum and outreach upgrades
  • Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland ($50,000) – Continuing free admission to the museum to remove barriers and provide individuals and families access to the arts
